Herculiner Done

Well considering my truck is a lease and I have not decided 100% if I am going to keep it or not I decided to do a Herculiner, after reading a lot of hooror stories and success stories.

I started at about 4pm and finished at about 10pm. I am pleased with the results, however I do need to get another container for some touch-up places.

For what I will be using the bed for I think this should be good. Anyway here are some pics.

This is after sanding:

1st coat:

Complete after second coat and 10hrs of dry time:

Let me know what you guys think.
As a side note, if possible do this 100% outside away from open windows from your house. I had to do it half in my garage and my house still smells like paint.

That white truck is sweet. No offense but, I can't believe that you put all that money into the truck and then cheaped out on the bedliner. The duplicolor is going to look like crap in a couple months. I think you will regret it.

The Hurculiner...again, no offense...I dont think it looks good at all.

Sorry guys...

Hey mwall1382, I just recently purchased the Herculiner, with the UV protectant. Is there any tips or anything that you may have noticed that the instructions did not say? Also what grit sandpaper did you use? (60?) Did you put on the UV protectant? Your truck looks good by the way.

Well if you havn't done yours yet the only thing I can really say is prep is key. I used the supplied scotch brite type pad that came with the kit and another pad that I purchased that was a little more harsh. One tip I do have is pick up a paint handle extension. After the 1st coat is on you cannot get into the bed of the truck without messing up the 1st coat and im sure your arms arent long enough to reach the whole way in. Pay close attention the the grooves in you bed, I need to touch mine up because of a couple places i missed. No i didnt use the UV protectant. Personally I like the slight faded look of the bed liners. Shiny isnt for me.
