Retrax vs Rollbak

Howdy all.
I am new to the forum and new to Fords.
I have a 2004 Screw F150 FX4 and I want to install a retractable tonneau cover.
I have narrowed it to
Retrax
Rollbak
JackRabbit
American Roll

I also have a Duraliner drop in already installed.
Please let me know if any of you have any of the covers above and please let me know any of your thoughts about any of them and how they would go with my truck.
I am looking for something that isn't too hard to install so I can and afterwards.

I seem to be an incredible neophyte and couldn't figure out the search function or the display function to show more than 13 threads. So I did a bit of researching the forum and found out a little bit more, but my questions still are unanswered. Thanks in advance.

Thumbs up

I got the RETRAX about three weeks ago - www.rolltopcover.com -

I could have had it installed within one hour (4 Clamps total) with just my wife helping me get it into the back. One thing I ran into was my truck had the Ford bedliner installed in it. When I called up to RETRAX they stated no problem. Well it truned out I had to cut out each front corner (2"Wx10"H) The depth of the RETRAX. No big deal since I never plan to take it off (the whole point in buying the rollup) If you look at your bedliner make sure it is flush as possble with the front corners. When I slide it up into place both sides caught because the bedliner turns in at the corners.

Also one thing I did notice in the instructions is that it comes with two drain holes on the bottom of the area that rolls up in to. i assume this is for some water that may end up running into the roll area. My concern was that I had nowhere to place the tubes (does the FORD 2K4 SCREW come with drain holes?)

Bottom line is I'll give it a 10 for looks... 9.5 for ease of install.... 8.5 for water tight - Until I figure out my drian tubes

i will be out tomorrow making any final adjustments on it (first road trip with it went ok) Kinda rattles somewhat with the windows all down - "Think of it as a rollup garage door sideways"

All in all very happy with it. My gas mileage went up by 2 MPG (now at 17MPG)

I'd say if your planning to to store stuff in it 24x7 that has the possibility of getting wet then this may not be for you. Mine is empty unless we go on trips for luggage and what nots.... It's dark outside or I'd take a pic - I'll take one tomorrow and post it..... Oh yea it's pretty $$$.......

Any other questions please feel free to ask. I'm not here everyday but will try to come back often.....

PS - I really was set on a fiberglass top but after talking to friends they complained about not being able to move lareger items without taking it off and that is not a easy task. I think the RETRAX weighed 60lbs...
