What Is The Proper Bedliner Installation?

Hi Folks - I'm hoping someone here can look at their truck and let me know if on the 2003 Screw do the sides of the factory bedliner fit between the grey plastic rail caps & the sheetmetal of the bed or do the sides go behind the sheetmetal? The reason I ask this is because I'm ready to install the UnderCover tonneau & when I place the brackets on the bed they seem to be "kicked" out at an angle due to the rail caps being bowed out fron the bedliner being sandwiched between the rail and the bed. I have a feeling the liner isnt in properly which would also explain the poor fit (3" or so bowed up) at the bottom by the tailgate.

Thanks In Advance!

I added a factory liner to my 2003 Supercrew and, as I recall, the liner fit behind the lip of the sheet metal not under the rail cap.

I'd try loosening the tie downs and see if repositioning it under the rails alleviates the bowing you mentioned.

Hi 2005-Ford-KR & Thanks for the reply! Thats what makes the most sense to me as well, I went to unbolt the tiedowns yesterday to find I didnt have the proper size torx socket & neither did my parts guy! He's to have one for me to pickup this afternoon & hopefully I can pull it out tommorow.
Thanks Again for your input
