K-Cover Vs. Fold-a-Cover

I am considering a hard, folding tonneau cover for my soon-to-be delivered F-150 Super Crew. I have visited the web sites for Fold-a-Cover and K-Cover. From what I can gather, the K-Cover has a two panel design for the F-150 Super Crew and the Fold-a-Cover is a four panel design. I think the four panel design looks better and it might be easier to open the rear panel of a four panel design when standing behind the tail gate. I also like the fact that the four panel design will fold up more and allow you to use more of the bed when in the folded position.

The K-Cover seems like they have a better latching system and the hinges are better. The two panel design would have few parts and they have a “no drilling required” system.

Does anyone have any experience with these covers? Which one did you buy and why?

Thanks,
Tom

Haven't seen the K-Cover, but we have put on several of the fold-a-covers. I can tell you that the Fold-a-cover is a first rate product.

If your tailgate locks there is no drilling necissary. as you do not need to install the lock bracket.

If you are going to install the fold-a-cover yourself, take your time. There is some fine tuning adjustment that needs to be done to line up the side rails parrallel and centered.

Does anyone know which is better, the advance folding cover or the fold a cover? The K-cover definately has more information on the website but i have never seen one in person. The latching system seems kindof klunky on the fold a cover. Though I have heard it a realy noce cover. I am leaning to the advance but I m not sure
