Question Line-X and bed cap holes

I was thinking about getting a Line-X put in and possibly putting it over the rails. I hate the plastic caps! Problem is, the dealer said that there are number of holes in the rails under the caps that would have to be filled with Bondo or something then sprayed over. He also said that F-150's look strange without the thick plastic bed caps that cover the severly molded sheetmetal. Maybe they could put it on extra thick on the rails or perhaps I could put diamond plate caps on after to make up for the lost thickness? Just thinking out loud. Does any body have any suggestions, personal experience, or pictures of other F-150's that have had it done? Thanks in advance.

Your USERID says it all!

You hate the caps.
Spray the bed under the rail.
Rip off the caps.
Bondo the holes.
Paint to match.

Haven't seen that look yet.
It will be your signature trademark.

Ha ha!

I was referring to the holes that the caps attach to. They suggested filling those holes then spraying Line-X over it. I am concerned by what it might look like.

don't bondo over the holes, get a competent body man to weld some plates in the holes and then linx, arma coat or rhino over it. if it is not thick enough for you then put diamond plate over that for the thickness you want. i know armacoating and line-x can be sprayed about as thick as you can pay for, not sure about rhino though.
