Problem installing soft tonneau cover.

I just picked up a new LeBra soft tonneau and tried installing it. The frame and the bows went on pretty easy. But the tonneau cover just will not stretch enough to attach it in the corners. I can almost get it on, but it just will not cooperate with me. Arrgh! I think the temperature outside has something to do with it. The instructions say that this tonneau should be installed in temps above 70*. And it is 55* outside right now, and the wind is cold. I'll problably just roll it up, tie it back, and just wait until it's above 70*. I've never owned a tonneau before, so what would you guys with soft tonneau's say is the best way to put these suckers on??? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

if u have the metal sliding snaps there are two directions for them, one way the snap will sit lower on the rail and thus be tighter, if they are a plastic snap, a slide rail, or anything else, take it inside and get it warm, or let the sun beat on it for awhile, also remember how hard this is now and dont take it off in the winter...

I have the plastic composite snaps that slide on the rails, so that won't work. I'll just wait till' the sun comes out and try it then. Got her all rolled up and I've been adjusting on the frame a little. Hopefully all will go pretty smooth, but after today I'd be hard pressed if it don't. Thanks for the tips!

I still haven't had a chance to snap it up yet because it's rained for 3 days straight, and it's flooding outside. Oh well. That's just my luck...

If you can get the front bar off, by the cab with the rolled up cover still attached, take it off and go inside with it, lay the cover still rolled up by a heater vent in the house for about 30 min to 1 hour, this will soften up the material and make it eaiser to pull. Once warm run outside and place it on the truck, it should stay warm long enough to unroll and snap. Thats what i have to do to mine in the winter months. The other option is to pour buckets of hot water on the cover but then the bed and truck get all wet as well as yourself.

I have an Extang soft tonneau with the metal snaps that i can turn around. Still, in the winter months if i have to remove it, i take out the last bow or two snap it closed and then put the bows back in. It's a bit of a pain but getting it fully stretched when it's cold out is a chore.

Yeah, I hear ya. These suckers can be a beast to tame in the Winter or when it's cold out. It's rained for 4 days straight here, and there is flash flood warnings out. Still no sun in sight. Maybe this weekend it'll fair up outside, and I'll get to see what it looks like fully snapped up. *Fingers crossed*
