BedRug on tailgate

I just installed a BedRug and really like it. The only thing I am not sure of is the tailgate. The floor has thick padding moulded to make the floor smooth with no ridges and valleys. The tailgate padding is one thickness and there are multiple depressions in the tailgate panel, so if you sit on the tailgate or kneel on it, the Bed Rug sinks into them, leaving depressions. Has anyone tried to fill the depressions or does everyone just live with them ?

You might attmept to contact Chickenears (sp). He is a distrubutor for bedrug and can probably help.

Also, calling the manufacturer (which is based in TN www.bedrug.com I think) would be a good idea... maybe you have a bad tailgate cover. *shrugs*

I'm just not that familar with the product so, I'm not sure I can help.

Good luck!

My bedrug is as you've discribed. I just deal with it, though it is easy to forget that the tailgate is not padded like the bed. Sore knees are not unheard of.
