bedrug ontop of line-x?

had a line-x installed in my 02 screw a while back. love it. very durable. now i'm putting and ARE Z shell on and was thinking about a bed rug or something else a little "softer" for the inside. know it's kinda pricey to have both, but does anyone have any thoughts or other ideas. can you even do a bedrug over a line-x (seems possible to me) i know i can just put some foam, carpet etc. in, but was thinking i'd like to keep a clean look. thanks

I don't see any reason there would be a problem. Actually you will have the best of both worlds. The spray on liner will protect against rust and corrision, and the bed rug will be softer and also keep the spray on looking good if you even take out the bed rug later on.

Hey,
Did you ever put your bedrug over your line-X? I am doing mine this weekend and was hoping for any hints you might have on doing the edges so they don't show.

IMO the spray in liners fill in the channels of the bed too much and the bed rug is designed to fill the channels so I don't think the bed rug will lay smooth, also I think the velcro may not stick well to the spray in liner.

I would save yourself the money and get ribbed carpet from one of the home centers. When you cut around the wheel wells, take a little off at a time. You can stick the carpet down with Industrial velcro. Clean the LineX with alcohol and do on warm day. You may end up having to sew the Velcro to the carpet.
