Extang RT Tonno Installed

Just installed it today. Fits great. Seals all the way around. Works the same way as the access and truxedo covers, but is very flat and almost flush. Check out the pics so far.

Looks great!!!

You installed it yourself? How long did it take, and how easy was it to do? How much did you pay for it, and where did you buy it?

I know alot of questions, but you asked for it with something that looks great...

Got it from truckperformance.com. There are several places around selling them. I paid 357.00 for it. Was cheaper than an access and about the same as a truxedo. I installed it myself in about 45 minutes. It's real easy to adjust the tightness of the cover. The seals are great all the way around. I took it out for a spin and nothing flapped around. Will let you know more as time goes on.

That does look real nice, and like a professional install as well. I have been thinking about getting one. I like how the fiberglass ones look (not sure if they are fiberglass or not) but I like the idea about being able to just roll it up and out of the way rather then having to uninstall it to carry some cargo, like a washer/dryer or something.

I like yours kind of like low profile. You usally see them with that bow in the middle that I don't really care for. I know its there to help keep water and/or snow off but I just don't like the look of the bow making the cover stick up.

I'll check it out, again very nice professional job. You didn't have to drill into the truck did you?

No Drilling at all. The only thing I had to do was trim my bed liner just a bit at the corners near the cab so the rails would seal to the truck. The rails are held on with 2 clamps per side. If you look at the picture above with the cover rolled up you can see the silver clamps at the corners. Hope that answers your questions.

Yes it did thanks. What is yours called. I looked on Truck Performance.com from mine, which is a flareside, and didn't see one like yours. They had some Extang's but the prices where a little different, actually a little cheaper.

Here of some links that have the covers. They may not have released one for the flareside yet. They don't even have this model on their website yet. It was just announced this past january. Check them out and see what's available.

Thank you very much...

Well, that sucks. I just checked it out and said it was not yet avalible for my 01 flareside. I saved it as a Favorite site so I can go back and check later.

Again thanks for the information.
