very nice....but I think FORD is WAY overpriced for their product.

I have blue LED's under my front dash, and LED's under my front seats to light up the rear seating area. ($7.99 per flex strip)

And the LED's that ford has can be purchased for about $4.00 a piece. With wiring you could do the same thing yourself for under $50 from Oznium.com, another option from people thinking of doing LED lighting.

Rear Seat

and LED dome lights:

I agree it's way over priced when you can get the million color 6" led tube for like $20 from Oznium. Just need a controller to adjust the color accordingly.

You might think you could do it for under $50 bucks but remember you have the option from 7 different colors with the push of a button. The option in the post above is only blue......to do more than 1 color you would need a controller and the one at Oznium.com is $150 bucks to start with. By the time your done you would have spent the same amount if not more.

All it technically requires is a 3 color LED and 3 rheostats. Infinite colors at the touch of 3 dials. Easy really. Fun - not really.

Or just use a PWM controller

Just a thought, my wife's saturn outlook has a single LED over head that lights up the entire console area. This seems simpler in some ways than the after market solution and it looks NICE.

lighting kit

I put one in my F150 back in August it's pretty neat but pricey.I also added the Harley pedals so it looks even better because the light bounces off the stainless pedals.

Is it this kit that lights up the (P R N D 2 1) display in the center console? I bought my 05 and it doesn't light up, i though the factory would have had lights in there.

Nice write up....Definately considering this mod but I'm with pmason, is there a kit out there that fits under the front seats for the passengers in the rear and the back cup holders?

No it's not. But if you Look at the second picture, just right of the silver screw is a wire in loom that goes into the back of (P R N D 2 1). Twist to remove, then replace burnt out bulb.

sorry for the cell phone pic but those big green circles are autometer nv's showin oil pressure on the right and oil temp on the left theyre in roush vent pods and the best part they still allow for air to come out around the gauge so you still retain all HVAC functions the edge matches up in color in real life but the pic makes it look teelish
