This is a VERY easy repair....
If your fan isn't working on all speeds, the fan motor resistor is most likely what's faulty.
There are two types, one if you have automatic temperature control, and one if you have manual.
This is the manual one, Motorcraft part #3F2Z18591AA.
One Ford dealer quoted $22.17, another said $36.00
1) Open the glove box beyond it's stop by pressing the right side in, till the rubber stopper clears the side.
2) This is the part to replace.
3) The screws are 8mm.
4) Slide the part out....it's credit card size.
5) Press the center tab to remove the connector from the part.
Reverse these steps with the new part, and you're good to go!

I wish I had more information to help you guys out.
The Tasca parts sight now has excellent exploded-view diagrams of parts.
I would go there, and hunt for your year and model.
Melb, I suspect it could be the fan motor itself, your next step should be to check if your getting 12 volts to the motor. Unplug the wire connector and check with a multi-meter.

On August 1st, I changed/replaced the lower steering shaft coupler in
our truck. The next day, I drove the truck and the 3 blower levels weren't working for the blower.
I thought I did something under the hood while working on the shaft. Today I Googled, 'F150online 2006 F150
blower doesn't work' and the repair answer came up on the 2nd line for the
'Replace 04-08 fan blower motor resistor EMTC HVAC Aug 6, 2009.' I called Advanced Auto and
they had the part for $24.83. It took me ~15 minutes to complete the repair.
Thanks to everyone for the tutorial and the confidence I got for repairing
our truck and not having to take it to a repair shop.
