Just finished replacing mine. Took me less than 5 minutes... super easy. I bought the resistor a long time ago, but hadn't gotten around to replacing it.

For people who have ruled out the resistor as their problem. Try pulling apart the switch and cleaning off the contacts before buying a new one. I just did this and it fixed the problem

I just replaced mine.

Bought the replacement at Auto Zone for $25.

Pulling the old one out was fine, but trying to get my meat hooks back in there to replace the screws was a little difficult. Those Mexicans must have some small, double jointed appendages to get into tight little spaces to assemble these trucks.

Another great write-up that saved me some cash from the Stealer-ship!

My blower just started only working on high. A quick google search got me here. I replaced mine (2006) and it works as new. Thanks for posting this guide. Got mine at a local parts store for under $25. Brand: Standard. Part# RU440.

2005 F150 Blower Control Resistor.

Thanks mjb1032 for the detailed instruction. Just had the same problem with my 2005 F150. Same procedure, same part ( $37.00 at dealer). Easy job. Thanks again you saved me some $ and made my wife happy.
