Spray In liner fading

I am looking at all the alternatives for a spray in liner for my Supercrew. I just talked to "Z-Liner" from Ziebart and they claim some of the other liners like Rhino are subject to fading from sun exposure. Sounds like Al Gore (a/k/a B.S.) to me, does anyone have any fading problems with their spray in liner??

I had mine Line-Xed in March and it has gotten a little dull where the sun hits it. It brightens right back up with a good scrubbing though.

The Ziebart dealer by me used to spray their own stuff but has recently switched to Rhino. He said he had too many complaints about chipping. I saw a couple of the trucks he sprayed and wasn't impressed, hence the Line-X. In addition to the difference in texture.

That's odd?!?! I had a Ziebart spray-in in my 97 and never had a problem with it... scuffed it a bit, but was wholly unable to gouge or chip it. Plus, when they installed it, they told me that if I ever managed to, they would fix it for me for only a, "small fee" I was going to have another one done there when I pick up my '00 this month, but now I'm not so sure... I've never been impressed with the Rhinos... This is going to take some thought...

Well, it may have been the way he was applying them too. As I mentioned, I saw a couple of the trucks he Rhinoed and wasn't impressed. I don't have any personal experience with spray-ins other than Line-X. I have friends with Rhino's and they are gouged from tools as they all work in some type of construction. One guy even has his peeling off on the sides up under the bedrail.

I'm a FIRM believer the spray-in is as only as good as the person puttin' it on.

i,ve been a rhino dealer in indpls for 6yrs and i can guarantee any spray-on liner you put in the sun will dull and possably change color(including z-liner)a good cleaning will restore the shine and color to most brands.rhino has a clear coat that will make cleanup easier and prevent this problem,ask your dealer for details.

I have the Fullmetaljacket Spray on and living here in the desert of So Ca; everything fades. We have that that if you spray Son of a Gun from Armorall and wipe it down the liner comes back just like new.

I've had my Line-X for a year and a half and I honestly can't tell you if it's faded or not.
I'm sure I'm in the minority here but, I don't care.
I wash and wax the truck, keep the wheels and tires nice, armor-all the interior, vacuum the carpet, clean the windows, even keep the bedrails clean but, as for the bed, I sprayed it and forgot it. The bed is the one place where I say,
"Hey, it's a truck."

I may have hit it with the hose if there was bird crap in there but, that's the extent of it.

In any event, as far as fading, my liner stills looks black but, if I ever got back there with a brush, who knows?

I have a Gatorback spray in and it shows virtually no fading. It also came with a lifetime warranty on chipping, etc. There is no fee to fix it if it chips. Just bring it in and they guarantee to fix it and you won't be able to tell they did it. I watched them fix one truck that had been damaged by a screwdriver. They were done in 30 minutes and you could not tell it had ever been damaged. I don't know about these others, but Gatorback is what I recommend.
