I'd steer clear of those personally. The cheap ones are thin and rocks will go through them if you are off roading or even hitting FS roads often.
I picked up a set of Stampede ruff riderz from AutoAnything with a decent discount for 275$ a while back. Found a good code to use and saved like 50$ if I remember right. They are the rivet style, and are unpainted but they are thick and I know I wont have issues with them breaking going hunting or camping.

and rattle can them. If you take your time and do a good job with prep I doubt you could tell much of a difference between a shop doing them.
