Wiper Cowl End Pieces

Wiper Cowl End pieces
I have a 2004 Lariat and I noticed that the cowl in front of the window had a piece missing where it went against the finder. I went to the local Ford dealer to buy the missing piece and they said that to replace it you have to purchase the half of the cowl that it fits in and it would be about 100.00! He said that they needed one of them a while back for one of the new trucks so they went on ebay and purchased them. I went home and found a pair of them on ebay for 8.00! They fit good and as they are located in the same city as I live in, I ordered them yesterday and they were in the mail today. It is a good thing they come in pairs as since I now had a new one for the other side I went to take the old one out and it fell apart! The rubber was rotten and it crumbled in my hand.
As I can't be-leave I am the only one who needs these (the Ford dealer said they have many people looking for these), here is the link if you need these pieces and don't want to spend 200.00 replacing the hole cowl to get them.
I am not affiliated and do not know these people. Just leaving this to help others out.

Thanks for posting that. Yes, several on here have bought those with good results. Sure beats the alternative.

I purchased a pair of those off e-bay a while back as well for eight or nine bucks. I'm sure my dealer would have wanted lots more if they even had them in stock.

Can someone post pics on where these go? The only thing I can think of is the pair of black cowlings that go over the wipers that also have the windshield fluid sparyers. those arent it are they?

They go on the outer ends of the two black plastic pieces that are between the windshield and the hood.

They sell them on this site. They have a picture of what they look like. As the above mentioned that they are on the ends of the plastic pieces between the window and the hood. They close the gap from the plastic piece and the finder. I am working on my truck and took out the inside finder cover and found the rotted one among the leaves that get trapped in front of the door bottom.

Your guess is correct! About the battery-I'm surprised your truck will even start.

I don't think anyone took them as they rot and just fall apart. This weekend I needed to take the inner fender out and found the rotted one from that side in with the leafs and trash that fall through this hole into the rear corner of the fender and body.
