Ahh, I see what you're talking about str8six.... I really don't like those blacked out ones and they are a total turn off. I just don't think they would fit my truck...

What do you guys think about these...?

Either one is going to be a major difference to the look of the truck, if you like the chrome ones better get them. Personally I went with the black because a bunch of chrome on my truck annoys me, hell I'm considering plasti-dipping my rims after I get new tires put on. In the end get what you like best, I saw a HD a couple weeks ago with the ricer looking single piece heads and matching tail lights not my style but if the owner liked so be it.

To reiterate what Str8t said, the clears will really close the deal I think.

I just noticed it since last couple weeks, didn't really notice it until I got home for down range.

if its light fogging (ie lenses only) and no condensation, then its not a sealant issue. its a common misunderstanding on here, and I see it all the time: "buy these ebay heads but reseal them because they leak" but most don't realize slight fogging is normal. when you open them up to put in bulbs, etc they atmosphere inside the housings has to balance to the relative humidity. then when you turn on the lights you warm up the air temp before it stabilizes and make it worse.

the easy and quick fix is take the bulb out on a normal, sunny day. give it a few hours and reinstall. "resealing" them is a waste of time and money because they are put through a water test when they are made.

Didn't know that, thanks. The weather here has been up and down so that explains a lot.

Pulled the housing this evening, its definitely leaking. Blew air into it and can hear it coming out the upper outside corner. This weekend would've been great but I'm going out of town, guess there's next weekend.

that sucks. you could pick up one of those tiny tubes of silicone and just dab it on there.

Good point, that thought had actually crossed my mind, what's the worst that could happen? I'd have to open it?
