Does anyone have these Headlights?

Hello, Does anyone have these headlights? What do you think, are the projectors any good? Any pics with the lights installed or turned on would be GREAT!!

Thanks

If those are the ones that Smokey has, those aren't true projectors. It still has a reflector that reflects most of the light. Only a small part of the light makes it through the lens.

Not sure if an ouput pic was ever posted.

They are a pretty good looking light, however, that is not a projector in there. It's nothing more than a plastic lens that reflects light onto the chrome reflector. Light output is worse than the stockers are. The pair I had the CCFL were not evenly lit and couldn't get them replaced. What I have done with the ones I have is sent them out and having them retrofitted with true HId projectors and new CCFL rings installed. Costing me a fortune, however I do like the way the housings fit the truck, so for me, it works.

I have a pair thats the same in black. They fit decent but arent true projectors. They do seem to project a small portion of light further then the main lighted area, but not much.

They halos have wires that you have to tap into somewhere. I tapped them into the running lights so i could run them without the hids on. You can check my album for a few pics

Yea, I think most people tap them into the running lights.

I've got them on my 06 and while they are not true projectors, I do like them, better than the OEMs. the light patterns seems to me a bit better (wider and farther) but primarily I guess I like the angel eye effect for styling purposes. Mine simply clipped into place, no splicing required. I'm running a 8500 blue bulb in them, also from ebay - said to be HID but not true HIDs - no ballast. Sorry I don't have a pic with just the angel eyes on - they're not as bright as I would like but I'm still happier wit these than the OEMs.

your goin to wanna inspect your headlamps and run silicone wherever the lens of the lamp meets up with the actual housing which is black....i.e black and clear lens meet together....

i have them. they look good and i like the output while running HIDs but that being said, I would NOT buy these again.

my complaints are that the halo doesnt work and they leak (they even have a frickin drain that will drain after the light housing is half full of water... durrrrrr)

also, the lights came in the mail and the housing was BROKEN. its nothing you can see from outside the truck but it speaks for the quality of this light.

maybe some people have had better luck and i just got a bad set, but i dont recommend these lights at all.

not at all, when you do switch the bulbs from stock over to the new housing make sure all the little rubber gaskets are still there, thats what keeps water and condensation from goin inside, also double checking porper installtion of the bulbs cuz sometimes it will feel like they are in but not installed properly

good luck
