I have been surfing the forums for a little while and decided to join. I have a question and need some help. My son is wanting HID's for Christmas and I have no idea which exact ones would be best. He has a 08 f-150 supercrew.
So my question is...what brand HID do you recommend and what wattage do you prefer? I have done research and really not sure what to get so I thought I would get some ideas on what you like and go from there.
Not too sure about brand as there are alot to choose from and different price ranges. You would be just fine getting a 35 watt kit.

My truck has over 85,000miles on it and has been to hell and back and still runs as strong as the day I bought it.
Depending on how much you are looking at spending, check out DDM Tuning and/or Retro Solutions. Just remember that the higher the price, the better quality it probably will be. But just because one kit is cheaper doesn't mean it is crap. But HIDs are still 907698375906754x better than stock halogens!

Good luck!
In the proper legal housings where the light is not left to glare into other drivers' eyes.
I use www.ultrabrightlights.com for McCulloch HID kits....expensive but last forever. The mustang had the same bulbs/ballasts for 3+ years when I sold it. Still going strong and its been almost 6 years now
Truck has had them for over 1.5 years now, no issues.
Thanks for all the help! I believe I will be going with 35 watt and I think I will get him 8000K. They seem to be pretty popular and neat looking without being too extreme. Now for the brand...havent quite decided yet.
Thanks!!
O9ford, 8000k is, I believe the most used out there. Igot my kit off of ebay for 90 bucks. That was over a year ago and they still run strong in my stock housing. You prob will need to adjust the beam down a little. I also recommend the fogs as well if you got em
that's strange, i've had xenonlinks bi-xenon kit in my heads for a long time with absolutely no problems. what was the matter with yours?
for some reason the wire connector for the bulbs kept shorting out along with the relay harness. In turn the bulbs kept going bad. I still have
the fog kit from them with no issues. They swapped bulbs, wires numerous times without question. I just got tired of swapping parts for 6 Months and spending xtra money shipping things back. Just wasn't happy with product

I used RSI Motorsports in my 07 SCrew 55w 8000k Bi-xenon premium kit. Good quality, 4 year replacement warranty, and easy plug and play install. Also did the fogs...
