Well to continue on with me and Brad's "Contest" i have some finished pics. I am now also rockin the winter look too... I am nowhere near to being done but it is good enough for now until I have a bunch of spare time handy so it is done for now. It has been pretty rainy so there is a bit of mud on the parts that I did the other day...

Halverso, i know this is off topic, but i noticed your head lights are pretty weathered, you should look into the ANZO 111030 assemblies, i just picked some up and they look great, i was worried how they would look with the stock fogs but they look great

About time we got some pics. That looks nice!

I love the painted look though, and the mud washes right off. That stuff looks like it was pretty messy.

04HeritageXL- Ya the headlights are pretty bad. They are on the to-do list. I was thinking maybe some halo projectors or like the ones you suggested but smoked.
Brad- Ya it was really messy but it looks way better when its clean and in person. I don't think i am ever going to do that stuff again. I will either get it done proffessionally or stick with the paint.

I got a better idea. Get ahold of some 2000 grit sand paper and a $3.00 bottle of scratch out. Wet sand the headlights and then hand polish the headlights with the scratch out.. they will look new.

Thats what I was worried about when it came to rubber coating... the messiness. The paint is pretty cheap and I like the look.. plus makes it look SOO much better while I am working under there on whatever. Thats the main reason I painted any of it to begin with.. was to make it look better because I was tired of seeing rust.

I have a special bottle of headlight restorer that requires sanding. Just haven't used it on my truck. Will do tomorrow. Should be good until I get some new headlights. I really like the look of the halos. Here is a link to the only good pic i could find of them. I don't know whether i like 'em in black, chrome, or smoked.

they woiuld probably look good smoked but i am just not down for spending all that coin on the lights and risking not liking how they come out. plus i wouldn't wanna risk lowering the light output

Ya i really like them in smoked. When I do get headlights I will probably get them. Wouldn't they be brighter output with HID's? Or are they not compatible with HID's?

i really dont know how the projector headlights work, but with my HIDS they are super bright, i had to get different assemblies because the stock distorted the pattern. i would say get the hids but i dont know how the patern on the road would be, or how adjustable they are. right now my next mod is going to be a honeycomb style grill with two Hella 500's behind them and 55w 7000k halogens in them, should be pretty insane light output
