Roush Grill Durability

This may be a silly question considering how many people on here have and love the Roush Grill, but mine surprised me when it came in today at lunch...

I read all of the good things about them on here, and then purchased on from Roush Overstock, great price, fast shipping, can't beat that. The surprise came when I opened the box and discoved it was just chrome dipped plastic.

It is my fault that I didn't research this further, but it surprises me that I received a Roush grill that isn't billet aluminum.

Is anyone having any durability problems with the chrome dipped plastic?

I haven't. They sell 2, one is chrome dipped plastic and the other is billet aluminum which costs like 2.5 times as much.

Ive had my plastic one for 2 years now and it has help up awesome. A few chips in it but compared to my front end its doing well. I also hit a pheasant in the corner of the grill and it didnt break or crack at all.

They're more durable than billet aluminum grilles. Billet aluminum grilles lose their luster and I have never seen one that has straight bars.

The Roush COP grille is a tough grille.

This roush grill is excellent, i'd rather have plastic on plastic than metal in plastic. Takes shamp much better, will not budge, and is pretty strong. If only I got get black paint to adhere to it well i'd be happy lol.

Thanks for all of the feedback.

I got it installed on the truck, and I am extremely happy with the look.
