HID shutting down?

After installing my HID kit on my 06 F150 today, I noticed a problem, when I push the unlock button on the key fob, the headlights light up, but the Drivers side headlight only lights for a second or two and then shuts off, the Passenger side stays on until they turn off. Once the truck is started and running both come on and stay on. Just curious how to fix/or if anyone else has been experiencing this problem. The kit is one with the ballast and relay. Thanks for your replies. I don't want my truck to be winking at me everytime I to get into it and drive at night, ha ha.

i believe your not getting enough power to the ballast or it might be a surge or something. i try to only put my hid's on when my truck is started to avoid damaging my ballast by underpowering them. i have a remote starter in my truck so its an aftermarket remote entry, or keyless entry.wateva its called. . so when i unlock my doors, the lights DO NOT come on which i like. i also never put my light switch on auto.
your same prob sometimes happens to my brothers car too. i put hid in his car, the same way i installed mine which is no diff from yours. i used a relay harness and all. when he would manually turn his lights on with the car off. only 1 will *sometimes* come on.

if they both always come on when your truck is running, then it definatelly has to do with the power imo.

Your relay either isnt powerful enough, or it isnt connected right. The auto light setting produces less power than just regular on, thats why only one bulb ignites.

Thanks for the quick replies guys, do you know if there is any way to disable the lights from coming on when I unlock the doors. I will eventually get an aftermarket alarm/keyless, so that would solve the problem I'm sure, in the meantime I'm gonna have to figure something out.
