To Armor or not...

I have been debating on this issues for years now. So, what is y'alls thoughts on the "issue" on putting a Road Armor bumper on Da Wolf.

With this bumper on it. Now IF I did get the new bumper I would have it painted to match the tan paint at the lower portion of the truck.

Or should I just leave as is?

Oh, I will be removing my step bars one day to be replaced with AMP retrackable(sp) steps.

According to his signature he has a 3" BL. According to Road Armor they can modify the bumper to accommodate the BL. Check out their FAQ.

when road armor modifies it they make the area where the d rings are larger looked kinda crappy i thought, i like the porportions of it with out their modificatoins, the only thing i dont like is the cost of piaa lights, and cant find any other brand that fits

Good heads up sounds like they "stretch" it vertically to get the brackets to the right location. Da Wolf I think if you decide to get it, you should do the same as Dallasmn26 says and make/modify your own brackets.

its a very easy mod, you have to cut the frame horns to install with no lift, all you have to do is trim it a little more for the bl, i went back and boxed the frame afterwards, i sure would hate to get hit by it, im pretty sure im gonna try it out soon on one of these ga deer that like to dart out in front of you

Ok. Yes I do have a body lift. So, it looks like if I do decide to do this I would have to modify the mounting brackets for the bumper.

Dallasmn26, you said something about cutting the horns with no lift. So, since I have a lift would I still need to cut the horns?

And does anyone know where I can get a pic of a "modified" bumper? You know the one that has been "stretched". So, that I can compare the two and can tell what one looks like. The pics they have on their website is VERY limited. And I have been through their entire website checking all the info they have on their bumpers.

I'm not a big fan of that look... Your truck looks outstanding as it is... I would not put that bumper on your truck...
