I thought the bracket needed something more so I welded some gussets on the backside. This is the backside of the bracket sitting upside down on the table.
I got the bracket back from powdercoating and I'm really impressed with how it came out. Mounting it was tricky by myself, not to mention that winch is heavy. So it's only semi hidden, which I don't mind, but it tucked behind the bumper easily enough. I need to get bigger shackles though.

I must say I definitely love the idea and mounting. My only concern would be the fairlead mount. Are you sure that tube/plate mount is going to be strong enough, or did you beef it up. Granted most of the time winching is done in a straight line, but what about off angle. I would hate to see that fairlead, bend up and into your grille.

Same thing I was thinking. Great job on the mount, very nice work. But that fairlead needs to be either relocated or reinforced. I have seen winches pull from such an angle to the side that the side roller on the fairlead has come apart...that bull bar will bend long before the fairlead gives way.
