Honeycomb Insert for Lower Grille?

Does anyone make a honeycomb insert for the lower grille opening on our 2004-08 trucks? I want to fill in the gap and I prefer something that compliments the factory PTM grille.

I saw someone who put a couple of pieces from an upper grille on each side, but I am looking for a single black section to cover the entire opening.

It's called a G.A.P (Grille Accent Piece). Moss Motors used to sell them, haven't seen them around in a while. Might wanna check eBay.

Got mine for around $60.

This is the best i've got on-line...

Kinda hard to see it all with the bull bar anyways.

If I ever get around to making a HD type lower insert, I'll save my honeycomb one for you.

I got mine for like $20 shipped from f150store.com I think. Also, I think the 04-05 will be different than the 06-08 due to the size difference in the hole from Ford.

I've been looking around for quite some time for one of these as well. Moss used to sell them but they no longer sell Ford parts. I have not been able to find anything that fits 2006 and newer trucks. There are still some places, like e-Bay, where you can get one for the 2004-05 trucks with the smaller opening. I'll keep looking and let you know what, if anything, I find.

I look forward to hearing back from Bigs125! I've also wanted to get one of these for my 06 F150!!!

I think it really makes the front of the truck look great... much better than the gaping hole in the lower lip!!!

If you can't find something to fill the hole, just tell everyone it is a Honda eater. Or if you live in the sticks, make you truck look like Mater and add some huge buck teeth to the hole.

The GAPs only fit the 04 and 05. Ford changed the opening in 06 so the would no longer fit. At least without modification.

Looked around again last night and part of today for anything like this and still cannot find one. I even tried to see if the manufacturer on the G.A.P. package (Abbott Effects, LLC) came up in a Google search but still nothing. So far the only thing I've found is a billet type of bumper grille, which doesn't match the factory honeycomb. Maybe someone wants to make something like this? There seems to be a market for it I'm guessing.

Maybe we'll all get lucky one day and find some out there!

honey comb bumper grille

I guess I might have to try and make one of those too, to go along with my Roush and FX2 bumper grilles.
