They both turned out good in the end, but doing them together was much faster for me.

In case you missed my other post in the Wheels section, here is the truck with the badges painted and the inlays/overlays done.

KR-Texas

Your truck looks awesome!!!

Did you use windex on the side inlays as well?
Did you paint your running boards or did you buy them like that?

You don't want to use windex on the side inlays. Its says in the instuctions don't use the wet method.

Pretty sure he painted his side steps. I think he's got a how to on those aswell.

Thanks Yogi. You are correct. You only use the windex method on the overlays, but not the inlays. The inlays were a little hard to do one letter at a time, so I found it was easier to do all the letters at once.

Here is the write up on the running boards:

The first inlay I did all the letters at once. They didn't line up perfectly so the next 2 I did them all separate.

Thanks guys. Just got my PTM inlays in. I'll be spraying the emblems satin black this weekend.
I'm actually using pictures of your and KR-Texas' trucks to get ideas for my truck.
So far I've done:
Flat black oval emblems - PTM fender flares - Wheel/ Tires - Tint
What I'm planning on doing:
Take off red FX4 decal (replace with black FX4 diamond plate decal) - changed 3rd light smoked - paint stepboards satin black - smk. covers for head/tail lights - find a trade for my chrome toolbox to black (this is going to be the hardest I guess)

Put them on your computer. Go to albums in your profile and click upload pictures! Then go to the picture you want and copy the BB code underneath the image. Post the BB code and you pic will show up.

Paint those headlights instead of getting a smoke cover or you can do both

You can also paint the fogs too
