YES...someone else is working on this project. I'll definitely be looking for your write-up, as I plan on doing the TL lenses in the mains and maybe a second pair in the turn signal housing...I plan on retrofitting the blinkers to work with a yellow CCFL halo that many (including myself) have installed from Advanced Automotive Concepts. We've only done white so far, but the other colors are just as vivid, and should really stand out with the projectors. Let us know how the mounting of the heat shield and the alignments come out.

Dang! And here I thought this would be a semi unique project... Looks like a ton of people are doing it.

I will put a whole write up when I am done. I am still waiting for a response from the vacuum forming guy but if I dont hear back from him this weekend I may figure out how to do it myself....

I will double check when I get home but i believe it to be 7"

EDIT:

Did some actual measuring and you are looking at 6.5" There is a flat part on top of the headlight and if that was fully round edge to edge would be 7"

Still in the works...

Some things came up keeping me from working on this.

I did however just order some poly styrene plastic.

I made myself a vacuum forming machine and once it comes in I can form my own shroud to his the bolts etc....

HAHA thanks! I just received confirmation that my sheet of plastic is being shipped. Hopefully by the end of the week it will be here. Although, I may not be able to get to it for another week as my weekend will more than likely be spent putting a small lift on the wifes Jeep.
