I just go HIDs for my heads and fogs from DDM. I was really impressed with how bright the fogs are. It doesn't really seem like I can see that much further down the road with my high beams on than I could with my silverstars. It seems like the light goes every where else except down the road when I turn the highs on. I was thinking about aiming them up some to see if it helps. Also I'm not a big fan of how they don't come with an actual harness that plugs right into the factory light harness, instead its just prongs that you stick into the factory harness. Are all HID kits like this?

97blueford where the prongs just for the fogs? Cause my headlights plugged into the harness from DDM.

I think there's supposed to be a little plastic adapter that you plug those prongs into. It looks like factory harness, just without the prongs. At least that's how I had to do it with the Retro Solutions kit. The VVMEs came with them already installed.

Mine had the prongs also, I just clipped them off and used wire taps. That way I didn't have to cut my old harness and can still go back to using it if I ever decided.

Both my heads and fogs plug in with the prongs which I really don't like at all. And are everyones high beams like that with HID?

Heard nothing but bad about DDM. Do yourself a favor and order them from retro-solutions.com I got the high/low kit and they are the best I've seen.

DDM products are actually quite good. The only issue I have with them is their customer service. My issue is that they state on their site to achieve the same color in my heads and fogs you should order a lower temp 35W fog kit. I ordered the 55W 6000K H13s and 35W 5000K H10s. My uncle ordered from them the 55W 6000K H13s and 35W 6000K H10s. his are a closer match in color than mine. I asked for an exchange. Got a reply saying "we don;t color match". Nothing else. My argument to them is that I would've never ordered different temps if their site and their phone rep hadn't told me to. Oh well. No biggie.

Don't get me wrong. If I wasn't actually comparing them to my uncle's truck, I wouldn't blink twice. It's just the principle. Oh well. Like I said ... love the product ... not so high on the customer service.

Damn I wish I would have read this ahead of time. I just ordered mine about 3 or 4 days ago and didn't see this before I did. Oh well. I'll wait awhile and see what shows up and go from there. I'm hoping they will come through and everything will work as advertised.

Yeah it came with a wiring harness. It didn't come with any instructions, but it wasn't hard to figure it out. I'm going to go back and redo my ballast mounting because I was in a hurry to get them done and get inside and warm up.
87fiveoh254 did you have to pay extra for the wiring harness or was it included in the kit? If it came with kit does the fog light kit come with a harness too? Why did you get 9005 instead of H10 bulb for the fogs? any difference? Sorry so many ?'s.
Your HID's look awesome by the way!

I went with HID lights to light up the road more. I went with pure white cause I like the look of the white, not a fan of blue lights.

The harness came with the kit. There is no harness for the foglights. It is completely plug and play. I was looking for a 9145 bulb at first and someone on here told me the 9005 bulb would work so I went with that. Thanks for the compliments.
