Hella Blackouts?

Does anyone know where i can get some for a decent price????

Im goin for a Black and Chrome look. I bought my 07 screw with every chrome trim accessory possible and ive been taking it off little by little to see how it looks. here are some pics of the progress

with bolt-on chrome grille insert

with out insert
i have the chrome pillar covers, door handles, mirrors, bug sheild, tail light covers, fender flares and step bars as well. as of right now i have taken the mirror covers and fender flares off, and on the handles i took the surrounding chrome piece off and left just the actual handle chromed.

Future alterations will include replacing my stock tails with Harley tails and taking off the chrome tail covers, Replacing stock headlights with Hella Blackouts, possibly removing the bugsheild if it looks tacky with the Blackouts, and some black 20" XD Monsters or Rockstars with 33" terra grapplers or open country a/t's on a 2.5" leveling kit

all accessories will be up for sale as i get them off

More pics to come. let me know what you think

IMO, take the bug deflector off, get a real billet grille replacement, and even though we can't see it, I'm imagining the grossness of the vertical door pillars! They look horrible on 100% they are on. PLEASE FOR THE SAKE OF HUMANITY, TAKE THEM OFF unless you want to fit in with the black crowd who have every chrome AutoZone accessory out there

Chrome is an expensive peiece of trim that requires careful thinking about it. Too much can ruin a vehicle.

Rule #1 about chrome: DO NOT HAVE CHROME TOUCHING CHROME! (cough cough Grafix, , j/k brother )

haha yea my first thoughts on the truck when buying were "this guy must have been black" lol no offense to anyone but its just a stereotype thats seems to be true for the most part. i just need to find time to get the pillars off. it took over an hour just to get the mirror covers of bc the amount of glue that was underneath. what a pain in my ass that was not to damage the mirror. its probably going to take all day to get the pillars off

wheeler, I see you took off your license plate frame. Looks good

I think Ford went wrong when they made the big ugly thing. Takes too much away from the overall look of the truck, I took mine off too. You should look into getting a new front bumper with the fog lights and maybe upgrading to HIDs with your main heads + fogs.

Yes, all 06+ bumpers were round fogs. The rectangular ones were 04-05 only. Personally, I like the rextangular ones, they seem to cast more light. But I've def. seen them in chrome.

Just MPO....

if you want a black grille, that's fine, but the horizontal billet grille style, still looks WAAY better than that honeycomb. I've got a black billet grille coming right now, and I can't wait to toss that honeycomb straight in the garbage :-)

I'd go with a black bug deflector to... or none at all.

Either way, you have a nice, clean F150 their, with TONS of potential :-)

Peace,
Fish

I wouldn't throw that honeycomb grille away. I'm sure you could throw it on ebay or here in the classifieds, and get at least 50 buck for it (half a tank of gas, woot!).

The cheapest you'll find the Hellas is around $200. Mine were $200 shipped.

It was from www.buyautotruckaccessories.com

Note: Just checked... seems they went up in price a tad bit... but still a decent price.
