if you want a black grille, that's fine, but the horizontal billet grille style, still looks WAAY better than that honeycomb. I've got a black billet grille coming right now, and I can't wait to toss that honeycomb straight in the garbage :-)
I'd go with a black bug deflector to... or none at all.
Either way, you have a nice, clean F150 their, with TONS of potential :-)
Peace,
Fish
thanks for the input fish. i may go without a bug deflector. i just thought the bolt on billet grille was too tacky for my style. im more satisfied with the honeycomb grille until i can get a replacement. once i replace it then i'll probably sell it like suggested. theres no sense in just throwing things away ya know? once i get the blackouts ( i will probably order them tomorrow) i will take off the deflector, pillars, and tail light covers
trust me i agree 100% that too much chrome is a bad idea. when i bought the truck it came with all of it. and like i said ive been disassembling it since week 1. but im not a fan of a chrome billet grille, so its the honey comb til i get something better in black
shaunakadub's Crager grille is a nice one, and his truck looks real nice--that would be a great direction for you.
As for getting rid of chrome--are those Putco adhesives on your mirrors? If so that could be a great start.
i believe so, i didnt buy them. i took those off last week. i'll post up more pics soon. any1 know where i can get a cragar grille like shaunakadubs? or how much they cost. thanks for the input laz. i really like your hood. been looking for one for a while. where did you get yours?
Believe it or not a buddy of mine makes kits for mustangs and had the thing sitting in his shop in the corner--all beat to ****. I said "gimme" and we bartered some work and I got it. He never told me who made it but a few people on here think it's a RamAir hood myself included.
Thanks guys for the website. I just bought a pair of the Hella blackouts. I read where somebody said to use fish tank sealant on the seams. What have most of you guys been using to make sure these headlights do not leak?
I'd say install the headlights first for a few days and watch for condensation. Hella revised the headlights after a few months due to condensation complaints. I ordered my set around January and haven't had any condensation yet.
If you do notice condensation... I'd send them back for the new revised ones... if you feel like doing it yourself any silicon sealant will work.
