i say no i would start off with the big three or a least two of them
1. upgrade battery ground and wire going from alternator to battery to a heavier gauge
2. upgrade battery
3. upgrade alternator
the 1st two would be the cheapest and it sound like the 3rd is out of question anyways
Caps can do some unwanted harm to your electrical
if you notice all of the big name audio gurus don't have caps they use a ton of batteries and upgraded alternators and large high grade wiring
i am running 1500 watts on my system with no cap
my battery ground and power are both 2 gauge as of now (i still have a slight light dim but still stock battery)
hope this helps
EDIT: i left the stock battery ground and bought a ground post with multipule grounds so i am runnung the 2guage with the stock ground also
