Amp problem.

Ok, i just installed a Clarion MAX675vd head unit with a 1500W Concept Amp behind 2 Audiobahn 15" subs. Everything was working fine on the radio. bass was hitting hard and it was awesome. I turn to my cd and no bass. Is this because my head unit considers cd's a dvd with audio only? or because something is wrong? Im a little more of a under the hood kinda person, not much for stereos. So any advice would be great.

You might need to install a toggle switch, my Sony Xplod stereo would turn off the amp when I switched to the CD Function

Sounds like your amp turn on lead is hooked up to the antenna power wire. It need to be hooked up to the amp wire. It should be blue or blue with white IIRC. The ant. wire does not keep power when selecting and input source because it just doesn't need an antenna while selected. (think old Lincolns with the power antenna and such)

I have the blue remote wire from the amp to the blue in the wiring harness. The only thing I don't have is the ground from the head unit to the ground on the amp. The guy who helped me put it on said I didn't need it. The remote wire on the amp matches the blue on the wiring harness in the dash.

If I remember correctly, there are 2 blue wires in the factory ford harness, one being the antenna, one being a true remote turn on (blue with a white stripe maybe)?

When I did mine thats the one I used, works like a champ!
