09/10 back wall amp install

I know there is room to put a couple amps on the back wall of the '09's but what about after lifting the seats up for flat load floor? I plan to put in some upgrades and with a removable sub, but won't matter if I can't lift the seats any.

Huh ? Unless your 09' is a lot different, when I yanked my rear seats out, the floor was "anything but flat" ! But I knew before I yanked it, that I would be building a false, flat, carpeted rear floor and wall.

Looked great after that. Wish I'd have taken a few photos of it, before I "half filled it" with my sub box.....

But anyway.

Peace,
Fish

I installed amps behind my seat in my 09 screw, and I can still fold the seat up on both sides. You should keep the amps mounted low, if not, then they would imped the folding of the seat. Hope this helps.

I'm referring to lifting bottom seat to reveal the flat floor:

Franzia - that is good news - can you tell me what amps you have installed so I can get an idea of what size fits. Thanks.

My amps are old. They are from 04 or 05. They are Alpine. One is an MRP-240 and the other is MRP-300, not sure. They are about two inches in height. They are both 9-1/2" wide. One is around 9 -1/2" long and the other is 10-1/2". They are fairly small compared to some of the amps that I have seen people install back there. Do a search on this forum, and I believe that you will find some pictures. Thats what I did.

I've been thru a ton of threads, just never had clarification of seat operation. Thanks for your help.
