whaere is that rca plugged in at, up at the hu? y dont it have two rcas? anyhow if all u have is that single rca get a Y spl,itter to seperate the signal to both inputs of the amp

That main amp is digital, 5.1. I'm running an optical cable to it. Then the single RCA to the mono sub amp. Kinda like a home theatre setup.

So, splitting the single signal to both L & R is okay on the sub amp?

yep. both need signal, thats all
