Question

Mike: Any firm numbers on the Canadian price? In USD or CDN; it doesn't matter. Thanks for doing this.

Hey Mike...

Looks like I'm probably out of the group buy. I actually found a powr slider for $195 on ebay and bought it last night thus, I'm more in the market for a switch and cable. I should be able to pull this off fairly cheap now! Guess I got lucky...

Hmm, I would think I could get 10% by just asking.

Not enough discount for me

Mike,

According to the auction I won, that was the last of 5 or 6 of them that he had thus, I'm not sure if he'll have anymore or not...

I can tell you this, I'm going to fighting an uphill battle on getting the instructions for installation, the switch, and the wiring.

I don't think it's going to be super bad to come by but, I don't think it's going to be a cake walk either. The switch, as we learned, with a thread in the KR forum several months ago, is that the open/close switch is the same part number as the Ford Contour window switch (not the auto one) and that it ran around $40 new. The wiring, I'm told, is 18 or 20 guage wire with an inline fuse (of unknown capacity).

So, you can see, I'm going to have to do quite a bit of homework to make this successful but, I still believe I can do it.

Worst case, I take it somewhere that installs rear sliders and have them do it. I still think I'll come out cheaper than getting the kit.... maybe not though... we'll just have to wait and see.

I've got an APB out for the instructions that come in the kit from CR Laurence. If you know of anyone that might have them, I'd really appreciate any help I can get...

I wonder if the Sunroof place that you located would have a booklet for sale or something...

That $195 is an incredible price for those sliders. I don't see how anyone can sell them that cheap. The prices that Mike got were pretty good as there is very little mark-up involved.

Hey guys, I know the group buy is off but wanted to let others know in case they were still interested. I called the place Mike found and said I was still interested and what kind of price could they still offer. They were most helpful and even though I was by myself they offerred the group buy price of $329.88 (the 6-10 price range) So, it sounds like if you still want one at a good price, just call 'em. BTW, I called the local Ford dealer and he wanted $800 Hope this helps

Hey Mike, good catch on getting the part no. I called back to the dealer and told them the part no. and the price was just as you said. I have no idea where the one guy got $800 from

My friend works at that dealer and he can get me discounted prices too so I am going to see who has the best price. Either way wont have to pay for shipping since both places are near where I live Thanks Mike

97f150f/s,
The non-power all glass look slider runs about $180.

MikeF150,
The switch was still the square one last time I checked.
