'98 F-150 XLT ORP 4.6L regular cab Flareside. Just rolled over the 100k mark. Driver's power window, and cruise control no longer function (which I consider minor as I almost never used them anyway). Other than that, brakes, fluids and a replacement battery are all that were done to it.
Previos Ford was a '78 F-250 regular cab long bed 351M. The thing had 661,000 (yes, you read it right) miles on it. Engine knocked to beat hell and I could see the road between my feet. Other than that, tune ups, fluids, battery and water pump were all that were replaced. Not to mention that that truck plowed a LOT of snow and dragged a lot of people out of the ditch.
People who say Fords are POSes are blowing smoke out their exhaust.
Oh, a little aside. I've yet to have a brand-C truck that went more than 70k before going wheels-up. One had about 100 miles on it when the (supposedly) heavy-duty tranny (manual) blew plowing 4 inches of snow. That was just before the '78 F-250 was ordered.
