Well,
I ususally drive like I'm 90 years old shift very slowly and deliberatly. I make sure I push the clutch in all the way and I don't hold the clutch in at red lites.
The reason I romped on it a bit was that I had just used some intake cleaner and was "blowing out the carbon".
Even when driving my 90 year old style, 2nd gear is really bad and 3rd is a close second as far as ease of shifting.
When pulling away from a stop light, old ladies usually accelerate faster than I do.
This is the worse transmission I have ever had. 92 ford ranger went 100,000 miles and no problems what so ever. 00 VW Jetta, slickest thing since sliced bread.
99BMW r1100r (clunky to say the least) but it still finds the gear okay!!
