Going with Summit AT guage #2615. Either their manifold or T as you mentioned. Not in stock, about 10 days to get?
My 99SC...line out from AT goes to top fitting on side of rad. Return line goes from bottom rad. to external cooler back to AT.
2 hardlines 5/16" from AT...covert to 3/8"OD hardline (below fan shroud) to radiator.
You installed manifold in OUT hardline..
Saw post elsewhere, not sure, maybe IRV2.com, anyhow, said install in OUT line gave irratic reading, said put in RETURN line. I understand different opinions. HA
I reasoned thru what you said, if i understood correctly, hottest temp. from outline, lower temps from return line.
You said temps went up climbing long slow grade. Are you still convinced this is the best place (outline) to install manifold.
Tks. for your help. Lost tranny at 16,500mi. tow TT, not overloaded etc, but sure got me to thinking. Was rebuilt under warranty, no question asked, but sure didnt leave me with a good feeling. So...just now realize somethings i need to do, maybe even a bigger AT external cooler?
