hauled a ton!!!

a ton of cow feed, I'd say that's pretty hard work for a 1/2 ton, but it did alright, just squatted a little (okay alot)

Great to hear you put your truck to work and hard work at that.

bw99,

You are right. These 1/2 tons can carry a ton. I have done it many times. Many loads of firewood, mulch, rock, blocks, etc. I really should have bought a 3/4 ton, but this truck is doing pretty well. I have been thinking of a set of Hellwig springs, or just a simple add-a-leaf. I'm still undecided.

I'll tell you something though. I had always owned Dodge trucks before this F150. The older Dodge 1/2 tons could carry enough weight to pull the wheels. I guess that is why they always rode so stiff, huh. Anyway, once the Dodge springs were shot, you couldn't carry 500lbs without the bumper slappin the ground. Later, Rich.

yeah, I also thought about some add a leafs, but for now I'll see how it does. I'm kinda the same way, the only reason I bought the ol truck was to haul my mowers, dirt, etc.....I probably should of went 3/4 ton as well.... take care
