Question Does Screw have Latch System for Infant Seats?

I am wondering if the Screw has this feature and if so where might it be? It is the Latch System for infant carriers.

Thanks.

Yes the 02 supercrew has lower anchors and tethers, they are located on the back seat between the upper seat back and the lower seat back where the two pieces come together. They are the small "U" shaped protrubences (sp) to which you will hook the tethers on the lower portion of the car seat. You also need to hook the upper tether to the previously referenced straps which are visible when you pull the seat forward. Of course to put these to use you will also need to have a "latch" tether equipped car seat. A good rule of thumb when installing car seats is no more than 1 inch of travel fore & aft, and side to side in the belt path. Although, if using the latch system, you wont actually be using the belt path I believe. All this information is available in your owners manual, and in the manual which came with your car seat. Please verify all I have said in the referenced manuals.

Yes, my 2002 does have them, and they're readily observable without parting the top/bottom cushions. The tether on the back of the seats is for a front-facing carseat anchor (at the top of the carseat).

Do all of the '02 screws have the latch system. I have one and can't seem to find it in the locations noted in the previous posts. I have the Lariat with the 60/40 split bench. Is there some reason that the leather does not come with them?????

I have an 02 Lariat with leather and they are there, the manual says they all have it. You are talking about the 60/40 bench in the rear? You can see the front 2 clips by just looking at the seat, fold the seat down and you'll see the top tether.

I have an 02 Screw XLT and definately DO NOT have the latch system. I have another vehicle with the latch system and two car seats using them, so it's not like I don't know what to look for. I guess it just depends on when your truck was made? And by the way, I don't have leather, so that can't be it.

It is a governmental law that all cars and car seats made after August 01, 2002 are equipped with the latch system. My truck is a Gen 3 2001 SCREW and it has the tethers and anchors. If a 2002 doesn't I would go to the dealership and maybe they will install them free.

Well that explains it... my Screw was built in February of 2002, and no latch system.

Could someone please post a photo of the Latches & Tethers. We have an '01 SCrew and have the straps velcroed to the backs of the rear seats, but are wondering what the latches look like. Behind the 60% part of the rear seat we have what looks like a U-Bolt welded to the body of the truck, would this be part of the latch & tether system? Thanks for any info.

My '02 Screw only has the straps. I have the bench style seats. Only the bucket seat option, per my owners manual, has the anchors. I did purchase my '02 in October of '01. That may make a difference.
