I don't work on 4R70s so I really can't help you with the problem, but I have the real story on the "green stickers".

THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THESE TRANSMISSIONS!!!!

The green stickers are a test program, that's all. Every once in a while, they will put the stickers on the pans for a few days, or a week, to give them what statisticians call the "sample universe", out of these trannies, it is known that a few will fail, and when those units are taken in for service, Ford wants to see them for warranty analysis, something that some (but not all) warranty work gets. For the ones in the sample, they want them all back to see what went wrong. That's all. You'll get a new tranny instead of possibly getting the old one repaired (which is pretty rare anymore, actually)
