I bought my 01 F150 used and the dealer told me it was sold new on 6/01 so I should have warranty till 6/04 but is there a web page that if i input the vin# would show it ???

 

any dealer can run the VIN. and tell you.

The vin won't tell you the inservice date, only the manufacturing year. The inservice date is the date it was actually deliverd to a customer. The vehicle may have sat on the lot for 6 months before it was sold. The only way to find out would be to go to the dealer that sold it and have them punch in the vin to get the trucks service history.

The Vin is entered into Fords computer system, any dealer can run it and tell you when the warrantee began, and when it ends.

 

I just called Ford customer service when looking at mine and they were able to tell me more then you would ever think possible from just the VIN. Much more then just engine, trans, options, grears, etc. They also gave me in-service date, delivering dealer, warrenty/service hist, etc.
