I worked on some of that stuff many, many years ago. Decided I didn't want to live my life that way so moved to Cal. Thank God for rust free Cal., at least where I live.

Sadly it is ultimately a losing battle here.

If you drive your vehicle year round it will succumb to rust eventually.

Its an massive over reaction. People who care about there vehicles are immaculate. Plenty of very clean vehicles up here. Usually those pics are of never washed or waxed vehicles.

It's like people on forums who make it look like there truck is so cool and people pee themselves, but in reality they don't even know how what wax is and it looks Luke crap in person.

if you maintain it, it will last. Biggest issues are exhaust manifolds/hardware, not fun after 5-10 winters.

That rust free southern truck looks great right up until a hurricane or tornado blows it up north....

Blue, I've got friends a couple of places in Tex. and the weather is TOOOO much for me! I live 4 mi. from the ocean and though I've been quite a few places in the world and a lot of the U.S., we still enjoy some of the finest weather on a 365 day basis of any place I've ever been! Other things have changed that make it not as pleasant as when we moved here oh so many years ago, but what I call "the million dollar ocean breeze" makes up for it all.
