Official Lowered 4x4 thread

Let's see your lowered 4x4 truck. Info on what all has been done to achieve the drop is good to know for those who may want to lower their 4wd soon.

here's my 01 supercab 4.6 4x4 lowered 4/6 via chevy torsion keys up front and cut bumpstops, in the rear, removed factory block, 2" drop shackles and 2" drop hangers.

all im sayin is a 2wd would be better for it. there styll good looking trucks. i mean i like lowered trucks but when i think of of 4x4 i think of like offroading and hauling big and heavy things and if its lowered you cant get to much weight on them. i mean one day hope to have to have a lowered FX2 with the 5.4 blacked out and i wanna find a way to twin supercharge it

trust me, i completely agree with you, but in my town it's full of mommy and daddy bought me a new truck and lifted it and i just wrecked it and i'll get another one tomorrow. if i weren't in such a town, i'd have kept lifting it til i needed a 24 ft ladder to get in it. but, i have to be different and be unique and work with what i got. my parents surprised me with this truck, they drove me out to some parking lot and my truck appears and they say it's yours. so after paying them back, i have a 4wd truck, i really did not want.
besides all that, being lowered, i've noticed a nice increase in mpg and get up and go. plus, with my plans of a built 5.4 and f/i later on, 4wd launches are going to be NASTY!

you'll always see people that say why lower a 4x4 but to me its not really any different than 4x4 escalades or other similar vehicles. its a 4x4 but that doesn't mean it has to be taken mud bogging every weekend.

yea houstons a richy im awesome full of little rich kids i dont like it. as i said there still good lookin trucks and i wanna lower one to but since you got the truck as a gift i undersatand its the people that go out and BUY a 4wd truck with the intentions to lower it that confuse me. i mean idc what people do its there trucks and there decisions just if there buying there own truck why waste money on a 4x4 system if you wont use it. but then again i came from a not so well off family and my dad always taught me to get stuff that im gonna use time after time.
