wheels will 2004 fit a 2010?

Happy New Year to you all.
I need to get a set of snow tires 265/60/18 on my 2010 F150 STX 4x2. I would like to mount them on a used set of stock 2004 F150 wheels, both 6 lug. Will the 04's work?

I would try one first. Not all wheels from 2004-2008 will fit a 2009 up due to the width of the calipers. The spokes may hit the calipers. I am using a stock XLT rim from 2004 and they work on my 09. Rim is very close to the calipers, but work fine. 2004 FX4 rims (17") will NOT work. Your best bet is to try one on the vehicle first.

17" vs 18" tire conversion

Greetings:

Ok, I have another option that has popped up. I can get a full set of 6 lug wheels with a new set of Hankook 235/75/17 tires which I would use only for winter. Currently I have 265/60/18 tire. Other the the speedo being off a bit are there any other concerns I should now about?

Thanks for your help, you are all very helpfull.

Another concern, yes, the Hankooks suck.

I work with a guy that swears by his Hankook MT's. I am running Nitto Crosstek HD's myself and with the recent snows we had, they did well. We didn't get a lot like they get further north, but the roads were pretty nasty.

You might be better off getting a full set of Winterforce or similar snow tires and try to sell (give away) the Hankooks. I hear the ATM RF1's are pretty decent, but totally different from the stock Dynapros At RF08. If your using just for snow get the winter tires. Keep an eye on Craigs, standard steel wheels often go for 100.00/set for 09-12's around here.

I have had the stock Hankooks before. They suck.

18 vs 17 wheels

If the wheels fit will the change from 18 to 17" make any difference?

technically I think they will fit/work if you use wheel spacers in order to clear the front caliper?
