How's it going guys just purchased a beautiful 05 f150 I like every aspect of this truck however I would like to use my pandora I see an aux option on the stereo but there's no input or device.... Do I need to install an aftermarket radio or is there some sort of adapter I can purchase thanks in advance

 

i installed an PIE audio adapter, it plugs into existing harness on back of radio and i tapped into the cig.lighter with a 1 amp inline fuse for power.

it will provide a set of RCA plugs and the adaptor acts like a pre amp, it has a level control so you can balance it with your radio volume.

i also got a set of cords from the distributor to go from the RCA to a 1/8th mini plug mounted in the dash and it came with the double male plug to plug into dash and your smart phone or other source.

goto pie.net and find part # and local distributor, web site is easy to navagate.

 

I found out my truck came w/ the Peripheral system.


and you buy another cord to go into the other port for an AUX cord.

I was thinking of going with this kit since it seems that the 05 f150 come with a can capable
System mine has the mp3 stamped on the cd player
