Get it scanned to read the fault code.

I had a sensor out on my passenger front. It's either a sensor, or the module.

could be several reasons. I've had them come on when the alternator was failing..

There are 21 different DTCs for the 4WABS on a 99 F150, only 2 of which pertain the the right front sensor, one static, one dynamic.

Like Dirty Harry famously said "Are you feeling lucky?"

Ill help you and it will only cost you about $20 and 5 minutes to fix. On the rear axle behind the pumpkin there is a sensor. Those for some reason go bad and cause your abs dash light to go one. If you put a ob2 ready on your truck you will not get a code for it. Read post 29 on this thread.https://www.f150online.com/forums/wh...s-light-2.html

If the rear ABS sensor is bad, it will light the ABS light BEFORE the vehicle moves. If the light comes on at 12 MPH on the first drive-off after start-up, it means the system failed its dynamic self-test. If it comes on intermittently and without pattern, it might be any one of a number of things.

Get the code read. A cheap OBDII scanner will not do the job. See the referenced thread in the previous post, it has more information in it.

+1 on getting a cheap OBD-II code reader. You NEED one in your toolbox just like you need a set of sockets or screwdrivers. Amazon has a good selection, mine was $50 but some are as low as $14.
