light out in my 4x4 switch

Hey my light went out in my 4x4 selector ****, is there a place where I can but the light bulb without buying the whole selector switch? I don't want to pay over $50 just to get my light working again.

Your 4x4 switch has a light??
Mine hasn't ever since I have had the truck? (that's for 2 years!)

I was just thinking last night how nice it would be to have a lighted 4x4 switch too. lol.
I also wish that the Head light switch was lighted. IDK why i do, but it would be nice.

Yeah the bulb is probably burnt out, but Ford doesn't sell the bulb separately..they want you to pay $52 and change for the whole switch. The bulb lights up where it says 2H, 4H, and 4L.

Yes both have bulbs! 4X4 pull cover from dash it just clips on but dont brake it! on back of switch you will see round hole that is were the bulb is! with a flat screw driver turn counter clockwise and bulb will come out!

I too have the same problem. The Ford dealer also said that it was nss. I removed the bulb and did some research. It was made by JKL bulbs and uses a neowedge extended housing. I sent a email to a distrubitor to see what it would take to buy. I'll keep everybody posted.

I know this is an old post but I was hoping someone had an update. I would really like to replace the light.

Just go to a junk yard and look in the switches. I found like 4 and they just gave them to me. Just make sure when you go, you make sure there is no black around the bottom of the light. And also just take the socket with the bulb in it. It is a pain to try to get the wires out without breaking the bulb.
