1998, 5.4, heater hoses, please help
Need help please. I have a 1998, f150,lariat, 4x4,with a 5.4 .
I have the two heater hoses coming off of the firewall, the one on the right goes to the top, rear of the intake. The other, on the left, routes down behind the block and down next to the transmission and stops! Nothing is connected! It's obviously supposed to be connected to something but what?
There is nothing there, nothing close, nothing that should, would or could connect into that hose end. About an inch up from the end is a clamp that mounts it to the bottom/side of the passenger floorboard, so it is apparent that it is supposed to be there.
I am at a total loss here. any ideas or suggestions?

yes I am sure. I have followed both hoses that are side by side at the firewall into the heater core. The heater core needs replaced as well, but the first thing I have to do is figure out what the heck hooks up that other hose. both the hoses are the same size nad the one is leaking antifreeze all over my driveway. Does anyone have any pics or graphics or descriptions?
