Supercrew vs Crew Cab

my window motor went out. While trying to find one online and at local stores I see all these different motors talking about Crew Cab vs Super cab or standard with just a few except Supercrew notes put it. 10 tooth vs 9 tooth. Then one of the parts guys asks me when was my truck built. I told him I didn't know, I didn't build it.

How is a poor guy like me supposed to tell what part he needs?

crew cab is a chevy term. You calling the right parts house?

Ford calls them:
Super Crew (4 full sized doors)
Extended Cab (2 full sized doors, 2 small back doors)
Regular cab (2 full sized doors)

If you look at the stick in your drivers door jam, it gives you the build date of your truck.

blame the parts store web sites

The crew cab wording showed up after I had entered 2001 F150 in the vehicle selection.

teeth

It all came down to the number of teeth on the gear, 9 or 10. Pulling the old one showed that I had 9. Bonus points to the local O'Reilly store who ordered one of each one to let me compare, then sent the others back with no charge to me. Boo to Autozone who would only sell one with the regulator costing way too much.

Can anyone tell me where the sensor is that tells my truck when I have a few extra dollars in my wallet thereby causing something to break? I want to remove it.
