ok......no, the vehicle is not mine, and by "that's it?" i meant i could have found a dvd or a manual for the vehicle myself, but i figured i would try one of these forums first......i can usually find one that has the specs for a vehicle i am working on. and haynes does not make a manual specifically for the lightning, just the base 5.4.....

See, that makes more sense then. The vehicle isn't yours. Since you didn't specify, figured you were to lazy to do yourself some good and get a manual. But, that's not the case, your working on another's truck. That's cool, to bad you didn't say that right off lol. Anyway, here you go -

Isn't that just a normal damper removal ? Off the crank should be in the book. I could look to see if it's different, off hand , I don't think so.

I can get the balancer off, since it is the same as a normal 5.4, but the s/c belt pulley is in front of the balancer and has to come off first.........just trying to find out the exact procedure for getting that pulley off.......it looks like i would be able to use a spanner wrench and a large hex-head socket, but i am having no luck finding someone that has an adjustable spanner wrench in this hell hole........
